Zooming high above Mediterranean skies as evening approaches in October, 1979, a VF-84, F-14 Tomcat flies CAP for the USS Nimitz off the shore of Alexandria, Egypt. VF- 84's third Mediterranean Cruise was auspicious for its participation in the filming of "The Final Countdown", and its timely deployment to the Indian Ocean.
